Marqués de Riscal Viñas Viejas is a limited edition rosé wine which contains the purest essence of the Garnacha and Tempranillo Tinta de Toro varieties. What makes this wine exceptional is that it is made from grapes from vines over 80 years’ old , ungrafted, pre-phylloxera stocks from the highest gravel terraces above the Duero river.

It is undoubtedly an unusual rosé wine, since in the winemaking process the natural bleeding method is used , in which the free run must which comes direct from the press is used after brief maceration. Tis wine’s singular character also owes something to its contact with the fine lees of the Sauvignon Blanc variety, bringing it freshness and complexity.

Marqués de Riscal Viñas Viejas, with its lovely pale pink colour, is made to be enjoyed young, but it possesses a sophisticated complexity of flavours, a smooth structure and mineral persistence.
